La forma della sabbia nasce dal vento, muta con il vento, cambia la sua pelle con il vento. Il vento la rende astratta e variabile. L’essenza della forma delle dune è però definita dall’alternarsi di ombre e di luci che creano mutevoli giochi di forme e volumi mutabili e inaspettati. Le immagini sono state scattate nel deserto libico al confine con il Niger.
Sand is born from the wind, changes with the wind, and changes its density with the wind. The wind makes its forms abstract and variable. The essence of the dunes’ shape, however, is defined by alternating shadows and lights that create shifting and unexpected plays of form and volume. The images were taken in the Libyan desert on the border with Niger.
